Your role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide broad manufacturing support across all divisional areas. What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain direct and indirect engineering standards
Update BOMs, shop orders, and picklists to ensure material accuracy and alignment with released Design Notifications
Identify, analyze, and implement cost improvement initiatives
Audit manufacturing standards and methods to ensure accuracy and consistency
Design plant and workplace layouts using computerized tools
Develop and maintain routing sequences and standard times
Establish alternate manufacturing methods and standards
Perform economic studies for alternate equipment, methods, and processes
Develop cost estimates for new product designs and major engineering changes
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste
Partner with Design Engineering to support manufacturability during the NPI process
Provide technical support to production as needed
Actively support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs
This role reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
To succeed, you will need
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree with approval from the Vice President of Manufacturing – BMA
3–5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering role preferred
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor, SketchUp, AutoCAD Mechanical)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machine shop practices
Ability to create, update, and improve work instructions supporting production methods
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Proficiency with standard computer applications
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
Six Sigma and project management experience
Automation, controls, or robotics experience is a plus
