Your role
Key Responsibilities
Change Governance & Process Management
- Take full ownership of the IT Change Management process encompassing Standard, Normal, and Emergency changes, ensuring timely and effective execution across the organization.
- Guarantee compliance with ITIL/ITSM best practices and internal governance frameworks while continuously reviewing and enhancing policies, workflows, templates, and approval mechanisms for optimal efficiency and control.
- Lead and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings by preparing agendas, coordinating stakeholders, documenting decisions, and ensuring clear communication of actions resulting from these meetings.
- Monitor adherence to change windows, approval deadlines, and comprehensive documentation standards to minimize risk and disruption to business operations.
Risk & Impact Assessment
- Perform thorough evaluations of change requests to assess quality, completeness, potential risks, and business impact.
- Collaborate closely with technical and business teams to identify dependencies, mitigate potential service interruptions, and prioritize changes based on strategic criticality.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as a pivotal liaison between regional Change Managers and various internal teams to ensure consistent execution of change processes worldwide.
- Effectively communicate planned changes to affected business units, fostering transparency and minimizing operational surprises.
- Bridge the gap between technical experts and non-technical stakeholders by translating complex technical information into clear, actionable insights.
Planning & Implementation Support
- Ensure comprehensive preparation for changes including rigorous testing, validation, and well-defined rollback or mitigation plans before approval is granted.
- Confirm alignment of changes with maintenance schedules and service availability requirements to uphold system reliability.
- Provide on-demand support and coordination during critical, high-risk change implementations to ensure smooth execution and rapid issue resolution.
Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track key performance indicators such as change success rates, emergency change frequency, and incidents related to changes, generating actionable insights.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to glean lessons learned, driving continual enhancement of the change management lifecycle.
- Identify trends and opportunities to bolster system stability, reduce operational disruptions, and refine change management procedures rigorously.
- Prepare detailed reports and present insightful updates to management and leadership, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or closely related fields.
- 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in IT change management, IT service management, or IT operations.
- Strong analytical aptitude for evaluating technical risks and change impacts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and navigate competing priorities effectively.
- Experience within Global Capability Centers, shared service environments, or global IT support models is highly advantageous.
- Preferred experience includes hands-on expertise with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Cherwell, or Jira Service Management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), networking, infrastructure, and enterprise applications is desirable.
- Capacity to excel in complex IT environments with strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
