Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, project managers, and other testers to ensure that software applications meet the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
  • Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts (if applicable).

Bug Identification and Reporting:

  • Identify, document, and report bugs or issues using tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Quality Assurance Support:

  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Validate fixes and ensure the system operates as expected.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of test results and provide regular updates to team leads.
  • Create and maintain user guides and training documentation if needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box).
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools or bug-tracking systems is a plus.
  • Basic programming knowledge is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring product quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • 0-1 years of experience in software testing (internships or academic projects are also considered).
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development practices is beneficial.
