Job Description Test Automation Engineer

 

Overview

The Worksoft Certify professional plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of software testing within the organization. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Worksoft Certify to validate business processes, and for identifying and troubleshooting software defects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Worksoft Certify for end-to-end business process testing.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand business processes and requirements for test automation.
  • Execute and monitor automated test suites for regression testing and analyze results.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Participate in test strategy and test plan development for Worksoft Certify projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for Worksoft Certify to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct peer reviews of automated test scripts and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Train and mentor team members on Worksoft Certify best practices and techniques.
  • Stay updated with Worksoft Certify upgrades and new features to leverage its full potential in testing.
  • Should be able to carry out the entire Worksoft admin related activities.


     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in automated testing using Worksoft Certify for SAP applications.
  • Strong understanding of test automation principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript, JavaScript, or Python for test automation.
  • Experience with testing tools integration and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into effective automated test scripts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in a complex SAP environment.
  • Good understanding of SAP modules and business processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Relevant Worksoft Certify certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality test automation solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new tools and techniques as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex software issues.
