What you'll be doing...

You will be part of Verizon's Technology & Product Development Group which develops products and platforms that strengthen Verizon core business and drive growth. You will play a critical part in developing platform and applications for Verizon Internet Gateways, Routers and Extenders. You will collaborate with product and design teams to deliver the best user experience for Verizon Home Internet customers. You will also be getting an opportunity to work on the latest technologies and innovation along with the below responsibilities.

  • Design and development of iOS platform.
  • Design and building applications for Verizon Home Internet devices.
  • Evaluate, architect solutions that provides performance and scalability.
  • Take ownership, responsibility, and deliver the best user experience.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs in order to maintain code quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Writing tested, idiomatic, documented components along with extensive unit tests.

 

What we're looking for...

A highly motivated individual with knowledge in Embedded C and C++ development, and eager to take up challenges along with excellent problem-solving skills. 

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent C programming skills including multi thread programming.
  • Knowledge of C++ & OOPs concepts
  • Expertise in application development for Embedded Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of networking basics and router configuration.
  • Experience in Linux build tools (e.g. GCC, Make, CMake, Shell Scripts etc.)
  • Knowledge of software development collaboration tools like Git, Confluence, JIRA, etc.

 

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Any experience in router platform development (PrplOS, Openwrt, Containers, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Linux OS, security & networking concepts
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
