Role: Software Engineer

About the role:
• Contribute to build cyber security products and solutions that forms part of Trellix’s XDR
strategy – as a development engineer, test engineer or security research engineer.
• Take part in design and development of new capabilities, enhancing existing features and
debugging & troubleshooting customer issues around the product.
OR
Leverage automation framework to validate and verify new product capabilities and enhancements
for readiness to deploy on critical customer environments.
OR
Identify critical security vulnerabilities hidden with widely used software and fixing them as well
as publicly disclosed vulnerabilities.
• Follow established software development lifecycle and practices to offer best in class product
quality for mission critical customer deployments working as part of a collaborative team.

Required qualification:
• Excellent programming around C/C++ OR Java, Golang OR Python, Automation.
• Excellent understanding of Data Structures, Database concepts
• Sound Knowledge on Network Protocols & Operating Systems.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
• Exposure to Cloud technologies OR Cyber Security OR Machine Learning gives added
advantage.

Coordinate with the Design team to discuss verification protocols. Identify weaknesses and problem areas in the software application. Suggest automated software test procedures, including the use of the Karate framework and Gherkin language. Track software bugs and investigate their causes. Prepare automation scripts using the Karate framework. Troubleshoot automation software issues. Create test plans and cases, incorporating Gherkin syntax for readability and ease of use. Prepare detailed test reports. Prioritize and execute tests. Review technical specifications and design documents. Conduct regression testing when needed. Monitor assurance metrics and process results. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field. Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer. Advanced programming skills, including automation systems and databases. Familiarity with programming script languages, including Java. Experience with the Karate framework and Gherkin language is a significant advantage. Excellent analytical skills. Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
