Overview 

BASIC SUMMARY: 

HealthEdge is looking for a motivated Associated Engineer for Site Reliability team, who will be responsible for enhancing the stability, availability, and scalability of the environments that host the HealthEdge award winning applications in our private cloud. As a member of SRE team, the Associate Engineer will work with the engineering and operations teams to problem resolution, focusing on improving the software and supporting technology to drive availability, stability, scalability and customer satisfaction. The supported environments are highly sophisticated, and a successful candidate will have broad knowledge of technology and software including but not limited to networking, compute, storage, .NET applications, middleware, database technologies, and monitoring tools. Desire to drive to root cause and initiative to enhance the environments to ensure continued stability and performance are a must for this candidate to be successful in this highly skilled role within HealthEdge.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work within cross-functional teams to drive problem resolution and identify root cause
  • Apply system-thinking to problem solving situations, following a methodical incident resolution process
  • Make logical and physical system architecture recommendations to avoid problems and increase system availability and stability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural challenges in existing systems
  • Maintain services in live customer environments including monitoring availability, performance, and system health
  • Host, document, and encourage environment of blameless post-mortems in response to system incident resolution
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable software solutions following industry standards and best practices
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to the evolution of development methodologies, tools, and practices
  • Develop strong knowledge and expertise in technologies used to run the Source cloud
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in the .NET ecosystem

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 (two) or more years’ experience with .NET, T-SQL, NETMVC, and/or ASP.NET Core
  • Experience working within the Healthcare industry, preferred

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Software development expertise using .NET, T-SQL, NETMVC, and/or .NET 5+ Core and  knowledge of Kusto 
  • Working knowledge of Redis and React is a plus
  • Experience in troubleshooting and scaling complex distributed systems
  • Experience troubleshooting databases, microservices, and containerization
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, and familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code)
  • knowledge with computer, networking, and storage technologies, including direct experience with VMware-based and containerized environments
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information within the organization and with customers
