Job description 

You will be working as Lead Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing and executing DCS engineering activities in service or greenfield projects with medium to large complexity, according to standard work instructions, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing design specifications, engineering documents and testing procedures. Working closely with project manager throughout the execution
• Working as an interface to Project Manager for overall technically leading the project
• Ensuring proper coordination with other project leads, Senior Engineers /Engineers
• Assigning work packages to project team members, monitor and track the progress project for healthiness
• Leading technical meetings and technical review meetings with key stakeholders of the project
• Taking decisions on the projects in coordination with Project Manager and other leads

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in in instrumentation, electronics and communications engineering
• Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in complete lifecycle of the project from bid phase to commissioning especially in the field of oil and gas / refineries / petrochemicals / power and water / new energies like hydrogen / carbon capture and storage
• Experience in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance according to Industry Standards IEC 61508/ 61511/ IEC 61131-3 / IEC61850/ IEC104/IEC101 etc
• Knowledge of structural and functional architecture of control systems
• Having ABB control system experience (800xA, Symphony plus, Symphony Harmony , Advant, Infi90, Conductor NT, PPB) experience is an added advantage
• Hands-on experience of software and hardware design and test experience with ABB DCS is an added advantage
