Job description 

You will be working as Operations Manager and will be part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Business Manager - Operations and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).

Your responsibilities

• Providing input to local product group or product line strategy and is a key player in its implementation and in strengthening a business model relevant to the scope of operations
• Developing, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools. Ensuring that operations activities comply with required safety regulations
• Overseeing the creation of manufacturing subcontracts and managing the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including Supply Chain Management
• Maintaining compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations while monitoring and reporting progress and results
• Providing support to sales staff to improve understanding of customer requirements in order to identify both potential constraints and solutions to these requirements from an operational point of view
• Collaborating with supply chain and project management to negotiate with suppliers of services and equipment to meet the contractual obligations of orders

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in operations of MV switchgear or electrical equipment manufacturing or automobile industry
• Experience in ERP SAP
• Good knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, De-bottlenecking, OpeX and continuous improvement process, Quality Control Systems, L6S process etc
• Strong knowledge and competency with good leadership skills
