Job description 

Responsibilities would include:

  • To provide overall Linux based delivery support for the hosting environment, including direct support for hosting customer escalations.
  • Complete Linux Server Administration Delivery Requests
  • To improve our time to delivery for service catalog/service offerings.
  • Server Admin tasks – setting configuration tweaks, attaching storage, OS level configurations, etc
  • Server builds
  • Loading and configuring software
  • Complete Tech Debt refreshes
  • Complete Security updates
  • Complete IP Allow-listing tasks
  • Complete migrations of servers (physical and virtual) and applications to both the new Cary Linux and Microsoft Azure
  • Instance and environment decommissions
  • URL Externalizations
  • To work with the Compliance team for audit evidence, CIS benchmarks, and other compliance requirements for our regulated hosting environments
  • To work with Azure APIs for automation/integration of standard, supported services
  • Work with and configure Red Hat Satellite for deployments and management

 

Technology/Vendor experience if possible:

  • Red Hat Linux and Satellite
  • Microsoft Azure deployment of linux based systems
  • AWS background is helpful but not required
  • VMWare
  • K8S and Docker experience helpful but not required

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 6+ years of related experience in Vulnerability management and compliance monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience in Vulnerability management and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Tenable IO and Security Center product line.
  • Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule
  •  Responsibilities:
  • Review vulnerability data from multiple sources to determine the risk rating of vulnerabilities to business assets.
  • Improve and automate the existing vulnerability management lifecycle, including data ingestion & normalization, compliance metrics, and detections on assets.
  • Provide technical support for vulnerability management projects.
  • Perform recurring and on-demand scanning activities of both corporate and cloud environments utilizing an enterprise platform.
  • Ensure that scan results are presented in appropriate dashboards, reports, and forwarded to other data systems as necessary.
  • Nice to have an understanding of or experience with the Tanium product line.

 

Preferences

  • Collaborative team experience with superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to triage requests with multiple admin resource groups
  • Understanding best practices around information security and data privacy in relation to system access and availability
  • Experience with DevOps tools will be an added advantage

The achievers and collaborators we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:   Overview: As a Senior Poky Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded Linux-based systems using the Poky distribution and OpenEmbedded build framework.  Your expertise will contribute to the successful deployment of Linux-based solutions in various embedded gaming applications.   Key Responsibilities : Lead the development and customization of Linux-based embedded systems using Poky and OpenEmbedded.Design and implement board support packages (BSPs) for various hardware platforms. Configure, compile, and integrate kernel and user-space components into the Poky build system. Utilize Yocto Project and Poky to create custom Linux distributions tailored to project requirements. Maintain and extend existing Poky recipes and layers to support new hardware and software components. Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices. Integrate and test device drivers, libraries, and applications within the embedded Linux system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, to achieve seamless hardware and software integration for gaming applications. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and memory usage issues. Optimize boot times and system responsiveness. Manage version control systems (e.g., Git) for source code and configuration files. Document development processes, configurations, and build procedures for reference. Conduct testing and debugging to ensure system stability and reliability. Collaborate with QA teams to address and resolve issues. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on embedded Linux development. Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards.   Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Extensive experience in embedded Linux development using Poky and OpenEmbedded. Proficiency in shell scripting, Linux kernel configuration, and device tree. Strong knowledge of Yocto Project concepts, BitBake, and Poky layers.Experience with cross-compilation and toolchains. Familiarity with hardware schematics and datasheets.
