Enterprise Mobile Computing (EMC) CEAT division in Zebra is responsible in creating world class product in Mobile computers space which is widely used across the globe in all verticals like Retail, Logistic, Warehouse, Healthcare etc.,


Responsibilities:
 

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to work on Zebra Android Mobile Computing products portfolio engineering sustenance for Android Framework/BSP.
  • Debug and fix BSP/Kernel/Android framework issues raised by customers across the globe on Zebra Android Mobile Computing products portfolio.
  • Work closely and communicate with various stakeholders – Other engineering teams, Customer Experience Teams, Support teams, Account/Sales teams, vendors across the globe and enable timely and quality resolutions for customer issues.
  • Candidate should be good at multi-tasking and prioritizing issues based on urgency, customer, complexity etc. and operate with scale and speed amidst flux.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise product development specifically with prior experience in AOSP framework development, customizations.
  • Excellent understanding of AOSP architecture and concepts.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with high degree of work ethic with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, high-energy environment that requires multi-tasking capabilities and implement high priority initiative.
  • Excellent triaging skills, Able to quickly create sample Apps to aid in triaging and root cause identification.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication/inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent Problem-solving attitude.
  • Logical reasoning and analytical skills.


Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Electronics, and communication Engineering or similar.
  • 3-5 yrs. of experience in Android SW development/sustenance.
  • Deep understanding of Android architecture and framework
  • Hands-on/working knowledge on debugging ANRs, Tombstones
  • Hands-on knowledge on Application development
  • Good Knowledge in Android HAL, JNI concepts
  • Should be able to modify the Android framework code for customization
  • In depth understanding of Core Java, C, C++ and OOPS concepts
  • Good understanding of AOSP build process
  • Experience in development of LINUX Device drivers will be added advantage
  • Experience in diagnosing complex system issues including strong debugging skills
