Job Summary

Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Works with engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product automation requirements. Executes automated code and creates written summary test reports for team. Repair intermediate complexity broken automation scripts. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

The QA Lead is responsible for coordinating the developing and execution of tests to  guarantee software quality, overseeing the end-to-end development process

This role is responsible also  for reviewing technical design documents and tracking quality assurance metrics to ensure adherence to quality standard

This role is responsible for providing software-related operations support

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure adherence to design quality and coding standards

Test and validate solution against requirement, acceptance criteria, leveraging automation where possible

Ensure that maintenance of automation is guaranteed

Identify, record, and monitor testing bug Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and early life incidents

Suggest improvements to user stories and UX/UI

 

Employees at all levels are expected to:

 

  • Technical design assessment and evaluation, risk-based Quality Assurance in web-scale environments
  • Expertise in multiple programming and markup languages, such as Apex/Visualforce, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, SQL, XML, JSON, YAML, and Python
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools is a must
  • Unit, integration, system, smoke  and user acceptance testing
  • Architectural element testing e.g. APIs
  • Performance and security testing
  • Code reviewing
  • Test analytics and trend analysis and Test Management tool
  • Software incident and problem management
  • Experience as a user/tester and basic admin on Salesforce Platform.
  • Competent working with cloud-native architectures, including public cloud PaaS / IaaS, micro-services architectures, APIs
  • Media/Digital business process Knowledge

              Salesforce, Salesforce Industry Vlocity, Tibco Platform, Kenan, Oracle, Kong, SAP, AWS, Opentext Products, Katalon, Appium.

 

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
