Your primary objective will be to understand client requirements and ensure that the solution meets their needs and compliance standards. You will work closely with clients, gather and analyze data, derive insights, and recommend solutions. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Requires strong communication skills, logical comprehension, problem-solving ability, leadership skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of application security and OWASP vulnerabilities is also desired.
Job Description
Role Objective:
Business Analyst at Propel is a key player bridging the channel between clients, end users and delivery team. The primary objective of a Business Analyst is to understand the client requirement and business logic. The Business Analyst is also responsible to ensure that the solution meets the client’s business needs, quality, and other compliance requirements throughout the delivery cycle
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management & Consulting:
- Collaborates with the client’s business, and tech team to understand, analyse, and prioritise the functional business requirements.
- Prepares and presents proposals and recommendations to key stakeholders by analysing the project scope and requirements.
- Generate opportunities on improvements to achieve the desired business results which are in line with the business requirements.
- Works closely with clients, C-suite, and leadership team (internal & external) in conducting for research, gathering & structuring data, deriving insights and recommend solutions.
- Understands data and provides meaningful insights that adds value to business process.
- Works closely with both business and technology teams while learning & building the required expertise/vocabulary to bridge the gaps.
Solution Design & Delivery Management:
- Works closely with clients to gather requirements, define scope and arrive at the solution plan.
- Writes scope proposals, business requirement document, software requirement document as aligned to client requirements, schedules, and budgets.
- Accountable for the maintenance and delivery of all business and technical documents as per the client needs and Propel standards.
- Supports Consulting Directors and Delivery Leads in planning the execution phase of a solution which includes team resource planning, effort planning, timeline, and other estimations.
- Works closely with Creative Director and UX teams for solution prototypes and wireframe designs.
- Supports and shadows Architects and Delivery Leads in designing the solution architecture.
- Supervises entire SDLC software analysis, design, development, unit testing and system integration and facilitates towards building reliable and viable solutions.
Team Management:
- Shadows Consulting Directors or Delivery Leads in arriving at effort estimation. Manages project budget by supervising the estimated effort vs actual effort.
- Involves in developing technical skills and application knowledge within the team to enhance core competencies/execute cross training/implement succession plan and ensure adherence to change management process.
- Engages in validating, monitoring, analysing the request, defining the standards, generating the opportunities & evaluating and agreeing on improvements with the concerned teams to achieve the desired business results.
- Nurtures Propel way by actively participating in initiatives and contributing to build psychological safety where the team prioritises fixing the process rather than trying to ‘fix’ the person involved.
- Understands the importance of teamwork, enables, and empowers self & fellow team members by identifying training/coaching opportunities or needs.
Requirement:
- Excellent Communication Skills, Good Logical Comprehension, Problem Solving Ability, Drive for Results, Leadership Skills, Sound understanding of Microsoft office tools like Excel, PPT, Word.
- Knowledge of the common application/web security and OWASP vulnerabilities.
