Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test software and scripting in LabVIEW, TestStand and CanOE/CAPL, aligning with Valeo’s standard test software architecture and development processes.
  • Software Test Workbench development and continuous Support to the Software Test Team
  • Review customer and internal test tool requirements.
  • Develop TestStand Custom Steptype and deploy automated test sequences in TestStand.
  • Develop and deploy hardware in the loop (HIL).
  • Validate test software and test systems for development project operations.
  • Document software design following Valeo Standards..
  • Participate in code reviews, both as reviewer and reviewee.
  • Participate in technology / supplier / test tool selection for new projects. Keep informed of the latest technologies and features.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in process and test methodologies.
  • Train and support users in the successful use of the test environments.

 

Professional Experience

  • A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g. Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
  • The ideal candidate would be a certified LabVIEW architect (CLA) or certified LabVIEW developer (CLD).
  • Experience working with TestStand, ideally CTD or CTA qualified.
  • 4-6 years test development experience in LabVIEW.
  • 1 - 3 years experience in using National Instruments PXI hardware & FPGA.
  • Knowledge on python is an advantage
  • Familiar with digital hardware and communications protocols (e.g. I2C, PCIe, SPI, UART).
  • Digital hardware debug experience.
  • Understanding of software development processes required.
  • Experience in data analytics or data mining is an advantage.
  • Experience using SVN,Git,Doors, is an advantage.
  • Experience in Automotive development and validation is an advantage.
  • Experience developing on LabVIEW FPGA (FlexRIO) is an advantage.
  • Experience with Vector CANoe is an advantage
