Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace. Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solution team is currently looking for Associate Business & Technology Researcher to join their team in Bengaluru, KA. As a Business & Technology Researcher, you will be part of the Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solution team, which develops software applications and products that create direct value to its customers. We provide re-vamped work environments focused on delivering data-driven solutions at a rapidly increased pace over traditional development. Your focus will be on digital solutions, with the capability to develop innovative software products that solve customer problems. You understand and document aviation customer requirements, identify and validate user personas, target markets, competition and market trends. With your aviation knowledge and experience in airline operations, you possess the capacity to comprehend and convey business requirements into clearly defined and high-quality product requirements and system specifications for development teams. You will equally work closely with designers and User Experience Design specialists. Your passion for aviation motivates you to improve airline operations by proactively using your creativity in our innovative digital products. As Business & Technology Researcher you will support the BGS Incubation Portfolio in implementing innovative digital product solutions from the initial idea through software development to market launch for our aviation customers. Position Responsibilities: Identify and detail customer business problems and objectives, formulates and communicate the business vision, understands the user personas, market trends, competitors, and market price. Supports in defining, refining, and detailing business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimal viable product Interacts directly with customers to understand and help solve real business problems Interacts with project partners to clarify and define product and system criteria associated with the proposed solution, including translation of client needs into technical requirements as an interactive process throughout the project lifecycle Analyzes and documents features and user stories and develops detailed functional specifications Workflow and information analysis in a self-managed global team, including market focused approach and analysis, system specifications, innovative/creative systems design and concept evaluations with customers, applying known techniques in creative ways. Develops prototypes and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate new capabilities Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher in IT related field or equivalent. At least 3 years of related experience in the aviation industry, preferably airline operations OR Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering with focus on airline operations OR a combination of both Very strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in Business English Passion for working directly with international aviation customers and excelling in intercultural communication Entrepreneurial initiative with a strong ‘hands-on’ mentality, loves getting things done Motivated by an international and fast-paced work environment with a strong team spirit and motivational character Excels in building cohesive teams through innovation, customer focus, design thinking and professional collaboration Ability to push boundaries while maintaining a well-structured way of working in a small team and a collaborative environment amongst business partners B.A. / M.A. in Entrepreneurship, Business Psychology, Innovation Management, Economics or MBA / M.S in Aerospace, Computer Science, Engineering or a combination of both Experience working with research & product teams and/or designers to drive insights into product solutions Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of relevant expertise in the sector of aerospace, preferably with an airline OR a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in airline operations OR a blend of both. Experience in working with Scaled AGILE Software Teams and Product Management is a plus Experience in the successful launch of a software products is a plus Software product development experience is a plus Product management Or Business Model Framework experience is a plus Master in Business Administration is a plus Aviation or Airline industry experience Experience in rapid prototyping or agile software development processes Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 4 years' related work experience.)
