The Product Assurance Engineering Team is part of the Seagate Quality function and is accountable and responsible for the verification and validation of products in Seagate’s HDD, SSD and Systems portfolios. About the role - you will:

  • Knowledge of Storage Domain, RAID and Cloud Systems
  • Understand the MS certification process.
  • Prepare test cases for MS certification.
  • Understand storage systems.
  • Hardware troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Generate reports.
  • Collaborate with the teams to ensure full integration of all parts of the system.
  • Assist with maintaining engineering laboratory and equipment.

 

About you:

  • Knowledge of OS installation
  • Knowledge of SAS, SATA drives
  • Good Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Knowledge on firmware download for SAS, SATA drives.
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Knowledge of RAID
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies

 

Your experience includes:

Computer hardware, OS and software installation, basic level of programming, Jira

Seagate is developing a new storage software platform designed for storage controller.   About the role - you will: You will be self-motivated, task and schedule driven, with a willingness to fill in when needed and quickly identify or move to the next task when the current task is completed, and have a proven ability to work as part of a large development team.  Effectively communicate and document software design, listen and discuss technical problems with customers, test team, and development teams.    Actively participate in detailed code inspections and should have experience in developing storage systems.   You will participate into customer calls for requirement gathering and then should be able to translate it into Firmware design and development aspects.   You will actively participate in customer reported problems, Collaborate with Customer facing team and solving them.      About you: Strong C/C++ Skills.  Strong Firmware development skill.
