Consulting Web Developer

The Oracle consulting services team is seeking a front-end engineer with proven experience in coding and delivery of complex web applications in a client facing environment. This position is focused on application development on a cutting-edge technology stack. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, understand their unique requirements and deliver solutions that delight clients and deliver high business value.

As a front-end engineer on the team, you'll be working on high impact, hard, challenging, and substantial projects with high potential for growth and learning. These are projects where you'll be developing web applications and features that’ll be used by millions of customers in a market with a growing demand for our offerings.

• For this role, primary expertise needs to be in JavaScript and frontend frameworks along with other critical topics in modern web application development such as user management, security, authn, authz, performance, complex integrations with 3rd party products and APIs.
• The tech stack for this role is primarily a combination of VBCS (Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service) and OJET (Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit).
• OJET is a contemporary of other popular JavaScript frameworks such as react, angular, VueJS.

Skills and Experience:

• 5-6 years of hands-on technical experience
• Solid, hands-on development experience and fluency in coding JavaScript with a focus on frontend frameworks such as: OJET, AngularJS, React, Vue.js etc.
• Experience in HTML and CSS along with understanding of browsers, the DOM API and browser performance considerations
• Experience in and understanding of topics such as user management, security, authn, authz along with best practices in the fields
• Understanding of a microservices based architectures and leveraging microservices in a cloud native, SaaS environment
• Understanding of backend infrastructure such as databases and integrations layers
• Understanding of internet protocols and networking
• Experience in end-to-end solution design, architecture, deployment and postproduction support
• Experience in the usual gamut of tools and processes of the trade such as git, CI/CD, JS linters, Agile development methods, test driven methods etc.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in application/system architecture and implementation of custom solutions
• Experience and knowledge of cloud providers such as OCI, Azure etc.
• Experience in a client-facing role
• Experience designing high scale, transactional, highly available systems and robust applications with clients of all sizes
