What you will be doing:

  • Technically lead and manage a group responsible for the power and perf productization activities
  • Collaborate with various cross functional and cross geography teams to plan and deliver various power/perf bring up and productization activities at speed of light. This will include bring up preparation, silicon correlation to pre-silicon estimates, feature bring up/tunings/debugs, silicon characterization under various product usecases, building power/perf models, product binning support etc.
  • Do resource planning and optimizations. This will include engineers, boards, chips, measurement equipment, peripherals etc.
  • Track project schedules, define individual performance requirements to accomplish team level goals
  • Track the Key Performance Indices of execution efficiency and silicon behavior across process nodes and generations.
  • Provide schedule/cost/feature trade offs to enable project level decisions by higher management
  • Drive After Action Reviews for projects, identify improvements and work with various collaborators to implement changes and continuous improvements.
  • Identify innovative methods to accomplish our ambitious NPI schedules!

 

What we need to see:

  • B. Tech or M. Tech in Electronics Engineering stream.
  • 7+ overall years of experience in the semiconductor industry with at least 3+ years of team management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring up, validation and productization
  • Strong familiarity with HW lab environment and understanding of various lab equipment
  • Strong understanding of aspects related to silicon power and performance, technology node impacts, Hardware and Software interactions at system level.
  • Python programming familiarity is desirable
  • Strong data analysis, reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand business trends and connect them to activities performed.
  • Self-starter with strong skills in multi-tasking, influencing, communication, presentation, and consensus building
  • Enthusiastic, responsive, and keen on process improvements

You will collaborate with other validation & bring up teams to bring up/characterize silicon power and power saving features. You will also work with design & estimation teams to correlate with pre-silicon expectations. Additionally, you will work with HW and SW teams to do the vital tuning and optimization of silicon power. We need someone with a B. Tech or M. Tech in Electronics Engineering stream and at least 5 years of work experience. MTech is preferred too. Strong understanding of aspects related to silicon power and performance, technology node impacts, Hardware and Software interactions at the system level. Hands-on experience with silicon bring up, validation, and productization is required. Good knowledge in board and system design considerations, power supply design. Very good problem-solving and hardware debugging skills. Very good data analysis and logical reasoning skills. Experience in working with Windows. Linux exposure is highly preferred. An understanding of PC architecture and various commonly used buses. Strong familiarity with HW lab environment and understanding of various lab equipment. Working experience with scripting languages like Perl and/or Python is a plus point.
