Juniper Networks is hiring an ODM Technical Program Manager to join the Manufacturing Operations team.   We work at the interface of hardware/software and Manufacturing Operations with all our manufacturers, and this role requires working closely with our ODM partners, Supply Chain Operations, and Juniper Engineering. The ideal candidate is an experienced Sr. engineer with a significant breadth of HW engineering knowledge (component, PCBA, and system level).  Candidate should be familiar with Networking Hardware design and manufacturing processes within ODM engagement model.

 

This position is based in India and will require travel to our manufacturing sites in the APAC region. Our ideal candidate will closely work with our ODM partners based in Taiwan and work on site from the Bengaluru office for close interaction with Juniper ODM Engineering, NPI and GCM teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Electronics Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience as Technical Program Manager (PM certification a must)
  • Effective communicator able to work with ODM and Juniper engineering teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • In depth experience and success working in an ODM facing technical role.
  • Ability to deal well with rapid changes and able to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to best understand and deliver on business goals and priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Telco, Enterprise, and cloud networking hardware Design and Manufacturing in ODM engagement model
  • In depth understanding of critical commodities applicable to networking products. (NPUs, CPUs, Optics, PCBs, POE, Memory, PSUs)
  • Experience working with project planning tools (MS Project, Excel, Gantt charts, Jira, Plateau)
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams related to initiatives at the component and system level.
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt certification desired

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • The ODM Technical Program Manager will manage technical aspects of our relationship with ODM partners with respect to Product, Technology, Design capabilities in addition to many other technical initiatives that support Juniper commercial and supply chain operations teams. 
  • Work with core ODMs and JNPR Engineering to define, track and report research and development, (R&D) strategies to align with Juniper’s product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Juniper’s onsite technical leader for end-to-end manufacturing responsible for all ODM (Original Design Manufacturers) factories in Taiwan & Vietnam.
  • ODM’s escalation/contact point for all technical issues. Provide direction and advice on the next course of action while supporting business management teams and Juniper Supply Chain teams.
  • Support process improvements required by Juniper related to manufacturing capacity, automation.
