As a leader, you will be responsible for aligning Smart Home and Home Automation services through technical execution across multiple engineering teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively to ensure the success of projects with high complexity. Job description 

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience with Smart Home based service.
     
  • 10 years of people management experience.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer electronics or home automation and familiarity with IoT and and home automation.
     
  • Experience with Google-scale infrastructure, google3, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and open source systems.
     
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution and ability to inspire and influence diverse teams to work toward a common goal.
     
  • Excellent technical skills in design, programming, debugging, and production management. Full stack, Distributed systems expertise.
  • Ability to operate in a complex and matrixed environment. Highly collaborative and inclusive, take in multiple perspectives, good listener.
     
  • Excellent business acumen to help Google and Partners build a sustainable business.

Responsibilities

  • Align Smart Home and Home Automation services through technical execution across multiple engineering teams. Drive the execution and landing of programs on time and with high quality.
  • Lead the outlook and roadmap for Smart Home Services including migration to Google’s infrastructure. Anticipate business needs and drive alignment of what the local team does versus the business needs.
  • Lead multiple teams and influence throughout the organization, to transform the technical outlook to reality. Align technical strategy across multiple cross-functional and cross-product area teams.
     
  • Communicate and collaborate across time zones, challenges, and tactics. Attract and grow talents through the organization, and give them exposure to other teams/time zones.
     
  • Land projects with high cross-functional complexity and ambiguous requirements or scope. Build inclusive teams and a culture where everyone can grow.
