In the role, you will devise and implement PR initiatives with the goal of enhancing the JLL brand in India and beyond. You will provide strategic advice, creative ideas and impeccable implementation, which have a measurable impact on reputation and business outcomes.

 

You will have a passion for news and will be able to sniff out stories that will help position JLL as the premier source for real estate expertise, advice, research and thought leadership. You will have flawless writing skills and the ability to create compelling written materials to deliver your message through a variety of channels.

 

You are a seasoned communications adviser with the drive, confidence and strong interpersonal skills to interact with senior business leaders. You will not be scared to ask tough questions that get to the heart of complex issues. You will be comfortable operating amid uncertainty and will have a calm, problem-solving mindset.

 

You will have experience of operating in a large, matrixed organisation where you work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders of different cultures. You will also have experience of managing people and leading a team.

 

You will be familiar with the latest thinking in PR and digital platforms, skilled at setting clear and measurable objectives, and have the ability to leverage data and analytics to provide the insights required to improve outcomes continually.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Communications strategy, planning and delivery for India – support in managing a variety of briefs to deliver campaigns in line with the firm’s brand aspirations.
  • Identify and build relationships with key media outlets for JLL India that are aligned to business priorities; source news angles, develop key messages and generate coverage in target media, working closely with local marketing teams.
  • Help to drive and support JLL’s research agenda to ensure we are promoting timely, relevant and newsworthy content.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence by modelling a best practice approach to PR with clear processes, guidelines and templates; ensure the highest quality of written materials.
  • Consulting – provide communications advice to internal stakeholders as and when required, especially during crisis situations.
  • Lead internal communications in support of the overall business strategy and priorities.
  • Media monitoring and evaluation against key metrics – managing regular analysis and reporting via relevant measurement platform.
  • Social media – work with marketing teams to help deliver integrated campaigns
  • Manage external suppliers and agencies.

Qualifications and competencies

  • Excellent English language skills
  • First class writer: ability to write and edit complex communications materials that are structured clearly and persuasively. Your commitment to accuracy and attention to detail mean minimal supervision and editing are required.
  • Up-to-date understanding and knowledge of the traditional and social media landscape in India as well as government affairs.
  • Proven experience in executing PR campaigns. Likely to have more than 10-15 years' experience working in an in-house communications environment or reputable PR agency.
  • Strategic thinker – able to think ahead and plan for the unexpected.
  • Ability to persuade, influence and provide counsel at a senior leadership level.
  • Track record in handling sensitive media issues or crises and providing prompt counsel and media responses.
  • Continuous learning mindset with resilience, curiosity and the desire to explore new ideas.
  • Detail-focused and well organised with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
  • Team player – able to contribute to a strong team culture.
  • Management degree in communications, journalism or an aligned discipline.
