We are looking for a highly skilled accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for analyzing balance sheet and P&L accounts, preparing financial statements, assisting with month-end processes, and liaising with auditors. Other responsibilities include tax preparation, VAT returns, and submission of financial information to local authorities. The ideal candidate should have a college-level accounting degree, strong technical accounting skills, and 4-6 years of experience. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. Experience with Oracle/SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis/interrogation of key balance sheet & P&L accounts, with preparation and posting of any associated journals
  • Support with the preparation of financial statements for legal entities in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Support the team with the month end processes, including the preparation & posting of journals along with preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaising and interacting with external auditors pursuant to the timely completion of statutory audits carried out on legal entities
  • Ensuring timely submission of financial/non-financial information to local authorities in various locations.
  • Assistance with preparation of tax returns and associated accounting workflows, including processing of payment and balance sheet reconciliation of related accounts

  • Use broader knowledge of financial principles and theories to continually improve processes.

 

Key qualifications of the job:

  • College level accounting degree preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting skills/knowledge
  • 4-6 years of accounting and reconciliation experience required
  • Good understanding of VAT and general tax accounting
  • Willingness to learn our new systems and legacy systems at a fast pace.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; the ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external customers at all levels of management and staff globally.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Must be proactive in follow up to resolve issues, ability to multi-task in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Must be able to work independently, be accountable for processes/tasks performed, and understand when an issue should be elevated to management.
  • Comfortable managing the delivery of high-quality outputs with overlapping deadlines and tight time constraints
  • Experience with Oracle/SAP is preferred.
