Key Responsibilities for this position
Sources and selects suppliers and potential alternative suppliers.
Sources competitive bids from qualified suppliers and negotiate with suppliers over cost.
Manages and tracks bids throughout the process.
Prepares and issues of purchase orders and enquiries to suppliers.
Maintains accurate and complete procurement documentation records in support of quotations, bids and enquiries.
Liaises with vendors on material, company specifications and certification requirements.
Prepares update reports on activities as required by Management.
Effective execution of company policies and procedures relating to procurement (including but not limited to, safety and ethics).
Timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of order negotiation and administration activities.
Fulfillment of procurement requirements during project performance.
Effective supervision of change activity to assure adequate protection of the company against potential supplier claims.
Timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of problem identification, status reporting and corrective action.
Effectiveness of relationships with suppliers, management, customers, support organizations, and project team members.
Planning & Timebound Delivery is the essence of this profile.
Desired Educational Qualification
Degree in mechanical / production engineering or related discipline
Technical Skills / Knowledge Required
Experience in Oil & Gas, chemical, petrochemical, valve industry, Project Based Companies will be preferred
Well conversant with Direct/Indirect Taxation, GST, Customs Duty & Freight Forwarding
Well worsed with Frieght Forwarding, CHA Handling, EXIM Docs., Clearances & Local Transportaions.
Well conversant with MS office, word & powerpoint etc.
