Overview

Mastercard Data Warehouse (built on Hadoop Cloudera) builds and supports various analytics and reporting platform that includes Domo, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS and WebFOCUS. The ecosystem also includes Microsoft BI stack involving SSAS & SSIS and Alteryx ETL tool.

Ideal candidates will answer yes to all of the following questions:
• Have you worked in an agile development team?
• Have you managed engineering/development team of size more than 10 engineers
• Do you have in-depth understanding of Big data, Data warehousing, Business Intelligence concepts, architectures, platforms, tools and delivered projects in these areas

• Are you proficient in database concepts, architectures, types, technologies, tools, etc.

Role

• Technical project management - to help design and develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications within expected time and budget
• Technical Work with System Integrators / vendors to ensure successful project execution and delivery
• Ability to gauge project health using quantitative project management techniques
• Collaborate on cross-functional agile teams that include Front-end Developers, Report/BI Developers and Product Owners to implement the next generation of enterprise application
• Work closely with Product Owners to develop effective, user friendly and creative visualizations
• Manage a team of highly skilled Data warehouse and Business Intelligence developers
• Provide technology leadership to development team in relevant domain
• Provide technology leadership to other leaders
• Stay abreast of Analytics technology trends and industry best practices to hone and maintain your talent
• Participate in architectural discussions, iteration planning, and feature sizing meetings
• Adhere to Agile processes and participate actively in agile ceremonies
• Stakeholder management skills


All About You

Experience managing, developing and supporting large Data warehouse and/or BI reporting solutions, ETL solutions and other analytics solutions. Exposure to new technology trends like R, Python and similar technology is added advantage.

• Experience in managing development/engineering teams in a global environment
• People management experience
• Experience in establishing new engineering team and working towards taking the team to steady state
• Understanding of SDLC and experience in establishing processes, standards and governance to bring efficiency within development team
• Understanding of Exadata / Oracle / Netezza / SQL server databases
• Rich and latest experience in delivering Data warehouse and business intelligence projects
• Reporting development experience in Data Warehouse environment
• In-depth understanding of Business Intelligence solutions for customers
• Exposure and understanding of complete SDLC
• Experience in AGILE methodology
• Experience in working in global teams and should be technically strong
