Project Description
A large European Bank has partnered with Luxoft to build their Calypso Support capability.
The current position is under their Global Markets IT team scope to contribute in an individual capacity to development, enhancements, maintenance & support activities for the Calypso platform by efficiently utilising continuous improvement and agile methodology.
Responsibilities
Luxoft will train the chosen candidates in Calypso for about 1 month via training + 3 months via shadowing + 2 years via on-the-job.
Post the training, the consultants will work in the Calypso Support team from the client office.
• Development of planned changes ranging from small RTB and CTB-type tasks to large bank-wide projects.
• Technical Analysis of issues, effort estimation, development, and unit testing
• Work with the QA team to ensure timely defect remediation and proper test coverage
• End-to-end ownership of tasks in cooperation with Business Analysts and the Testing team.
• Shifts: There are no night shifts. There could be early morning shifts/ normal business hour shifts/ late evening shifts, but all shifts will start after 6 am and end before 11 pm-12 am max.
Skills
Must have
Java Development - minimum 1 year working experience in Java
• Good knowledge of its ecosystems and proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) Concepts
• Knowledge of Collections API.
• Control structures, access modifiers, exception handling.
• Familiarity with Java Libraries
• Familiarity with Java Concurrency Patterns
Nice to have
• SQL, Unix, Calypso
• Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and JQuery,
• Knowledge of abstract classes and interfaces, constructors, lists, maps, sets, file IO & serialization, exceptions and generics
