The Role

The Solution Consultant is a technical consultant with the ability to develop, position and deliver product-specific solutions during sales cycles while maintaining perspective on high-level business goals for the organization

Some key responsibilities of the role
  • Help our prospects and customers understand and solve their compliance-related issues
  • Partner with the account executives to plan, prepare and execute deals in sales cycles
  • Support the selling cycle with relevant demos and proof of concept engagements
  • Manage all technical aspects of the sales cycle including answering technical questions, RFPs, RFQs, and sharing technical differentiators against other vendors
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the product and engineering teams for future product enhancements
  • Become a trusted advisor to the technical decision maker
  • Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
Some key requirements of the role
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, preferably in the SaaS space
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks like SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.
  • Great to have certifications like ISO27001 Lead Implementation/Auditor, CISA, CISM or CISSP
  • Knowledge of cloud providers, such as AWS, GCP, etc
  • Ability to conceptualize and build a proof of concepts
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior technical decision makers
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in a simple manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
