You will be working as Motion Sales Manager - Kolkata, Raipur and Bangladesh and will be part of Motion Business Area for Traction Division based in Kolkata, India. In this role you will be reporting to Lead Business Area Manager and will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective sales strategy in specified market scope in order to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations in the assigned scope. Setting, planning and ensuring execution of sales strategy within the assigned scope to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Monitoring the sales performance proactively, ensuring development and implementation of correction actions to secure business growth when and where needed. Proactively leading, developing and coaching the sales organization to exceed the sales targets through high performance.

Your responsibilities

  • Creating, planning and implementing global / regional / local sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives for the business area / division / product group
  • Defining key sales targets and establishing appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance. Proactively anticipating and identifying shortfalls in performance and taking appropriate remedial action
  • Driving top line growth, identifying and evaluating opportunities with existing and potential new customers on a global / local basis, determining plans for implementation and allocating resources
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers in customer and potential customer organizations. Planning and implementing customer surveys and acting on the results to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Participating in the negotiation of key global contracts. Identifying, monitoring and maintaining / exceeding the sales market price levels, evaluating with product management pricing impact on the results
  • Supporting local sales organizations to ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets. Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams
  • Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers / channels including cyber security risks. Developing, implementing and reviewing sales processes and tools and all related training and development activities
  • Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

 

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in front end sales and services dealing with customers
  • Working knowledge of motion portfolio on motors and drives
  • Should be able to drive and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • Skills such as leadership competences, presentation and excellent communication is a must
