Job Description

Job Scope and Accountabilities:

  • Global responsibility for developing and maintaining the required accreditation necessary to support the CPT Assurance & Inspection business growth.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance Governance, Technical and Integrity for the entire scope of GOTS.
  • Establish matrixes, KPI’s, and processes to deliver objectives on the technical requirements to support local operations and support the auditor qualification accordingly.
  • Conduct/Monitor regular audits of the operations to meet accreditation requirements and of the different schemes he is in charge directly and indirectly.
  • Support the other regional technical managers to streamline our accreditation governance and processes.
  • Support the quality management systems and required duties that go with it.
  • Support CPT Assurance & Inspection to implement and evaluate progress on QA Governance, Technical Management and Compliance.
  • Provide monthly reporting /KPIs on activities related to Quality Assurance governance, and regional technical support.
  • Support Business development activities when required.
  • Support special project.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring & Support of Technical executives, Auditors /  Back office executives.
  • Monitoring and support to Operational activities.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to produce high quality content.
  • Demonstrated experience in textile industry standards and certification process.
  • Experience with food auditor qualification and oversight.

Duties:

  • To understand the role of impartiality when providing certification activities and the process of taking independent action where necessary, (e.g., informing authorities, accreditation bodies, stakeholders)
  • Monitor and review internal quality assurance system, including audit quality, internal audits, client complaints, audit report review process, and continuous improvement plans based on risks.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls and SOPs to drive quality execution & drive integrity.
  • Monitor the capacity & capability of skills for new and existing services and manage training schedules and plans as needed by the operations to develop resources in the right place.
  • Ensure Training schedules are effectively implemented to train, qualify, and meet multiskilling requirements and capability targets for the business line.
  • Develop auditor training materials to qualify and improve auditor general auditing skills.
  • Attend client meetings to provide technical support to business development teams
  • To maintain the specific management system standards and normative documents. Understanding of the requirements of the Accreditation Body.
  • To maintain applicable laws and regulations for the implementation of certification services.
  • To update knowledge of Accreditation Bodies’ processes & requirements.
  • To demonstrate the management expertise and ability to lead and take decisions. Review the decisions taken by technical manager relating to certification/verification including the granting, refusing, maintaining of certification/verification, expanding or reducing the scope of certification/verification, renewing, suspending or restoring following suspension, or withdrawing of certification/verification of a Management Systems schemes certification/verification.
  • To ensure and review the high chargeability of auditors.
  • To ensure and review the compliance of qualifications and competency of auditors and approvals, satisfactory completion of training of auditors by calibration meetings, training audits, witness audits, approvals of auditors, monitors of work local office, suggests/approves term, and plan of calibration/harmonization meetings with auditors.
  • To conduct audits whenever required and coach other auditors to deliver high standard of auditing.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Professional Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile.
  • Lead auditor course GOTS and OCS, BCI – Better Cotton Initiative, 5S management systems or equivalent.
  • Must have strategic auditing capabilities and extensive Textile regulatory and compliance knowledge Involving textile standards.
  • Experience in team building and integration of a Textile Safety/Quality team.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with his/her technical team and with all other Operational Directors and Managers.
  • Certification as a Textile industry Lead Auditor for GOTS standard is a must
  • Minimum 7 year of experience in Operations, technical, Audits, preferably from a CB company.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Textile industry preferably production or quality department.
