WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Continuously analyzing service data to identify service improvement opportunities.

Developing, or partnering with other teams to develop automation and deliver a more reliable, cost-effective service to the company.

Continue to watch our system capacity and performance.

Work as part of a team of software and systems engineers on projects oriented towards improving the availability, reliability and efficiency of the global infrastructure services that run Abbott's critical applications.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

2 Years’ experience in DevOps

Experience in Object Oriented Programming ideally in Java with Spring Boot or in one of the following: C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, C, C++, etc.

Experience with version control

Familiarity with databases and data analysis

Experience with server (Windows and/or Unix and/or Linux) operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls), and/or with networking and/or storage systems.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Exposure to frontend development and related frameworks will be considered an advantage.

Familiarity and/or experience working in an Agile environment,

Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g. Github Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, etc).

Working experience in a major cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform will be considered an advantage.

Familiarity with infrastructure e-as-code (IaC) frameworks such as CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation

Exposure to Ansible

IT experience in a Healthcare organization in the USA
