As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Identify holistic problem statements and distill it into  meaningful scope of problems for technology to solve at scale
  • Write detailed product specifications that allow for prioritization and efficient development including use cases and mocks.
  • Craft product objectives at a feature and draft a solid, quarterly product roadmap
  • Evangelize and influence stakeholders on priority and impact using strong data points 
  • Identify and resolve blockers for the by negotiating with the right owners and stakeholders
  • Drive communication and product cadences across cross-functional teams
  • Have a point of view on aspects of product operations, design and marketability

 

What we look for:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At Least 2 years of experience in Product / Platform building and development
  • Analytical and data driven with the ability to to derive action and make decisions based on large data sets.
  • Is a problem solver and has bias for impact.
  • Comfortable with complex technology, analytics and operating models
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and teams spread across different locations
  • Proactive in seeking inputs, feedback and looping it back into the product roadmap

DESCRIPTION Advertising is a strategic bet for Amazon and is one of the fastest growing business units within Amazon India. Sponsored Ads is our flagship performance ads product and the backbone of our Advertising business. We are strengthening our offering by continuously building and enhancing product capability to improve shopper engagement and advertiser experience. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager (Tech) to lead Sponsored Ads for Emerging markets . You will be responsible for scaling Ads product capability inline with the business growth in emerging markets. You will work with a dedicated engineering and ML team and will heavily collaborate with WW Ads and stakeholders from emerging countries. You will manage the complete business of your product area including establishing key metrics, setting and meeting goals on business/product metrics, advertiser engagement, and retention. You will be driving key business and CX metrics like advertising revenue, ads coverage and relevance. Key job responsibilities -Identify product opportunities for the advertisement business using data, customer engagement studies and anecdotes. Create detailed near-term and longer-term roadmap for product. -Build product capabilities that help improve both advertiser experience (e.g. impressions, sales, ease of ad campaign management) and shopper engagement (e.g. CTR, relevance). -Build ads supply, formats, sourcing and ads relevance enhancements. -Use ML-techniques to build innovative solutions. -Play a key role in go-to-market of product features by influencing Marketing narrative and Sales / Account Managment processes. -Manage all aspects of project including organizing and planning, estimating, managing resources, tracking and controlling, risk & opportunity, quality, documentation and change management. -Work closely with Tech and ML teams to create execution plans and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs. -Engage frequently with WW leadership and EM leadership to identify collaboration opportunities About the team You will be part of the IN Ads product team, reporting to the IN Ads product leader. You will have a dedicated Tech team (SDEs, TPM and SDM) for your Ad product and shared ML resources to help you innovate. Over time, this role will expand and will have people reporting. You will engage with other key teams in India Ads like Demand, Marketing, Sales and Account Management teams.
