We're pushing the envelope in many different directions and are seeking a talented and customer obsessed Technical Program Manager (TPM). Key job responsibilities External Job Description Want to join a team building new Smart Home experiences for customers in a start-up environment? We’re building innovative, direct to customer experiences and are looking for a TPM to lead delivery of our programs. You’ll drive building of features from inception to closure. We’re looking for someone with a passion for innovating, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be motivated by a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. A success candidate has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products in a hyper-growth environment. At Alexa Smart home, our mission is to connect every appliance in the home to Alexa. You will directly work with Engineers, Managers, Product Managers, UX Designers, and other TPMs across multiple teams while driving them to a common goal. This role requires a high degree of ownership, customer obsession, judgement, and technical prowess. Key job responsibilities 1. Use your program leadership abilities to drive cross functional teams to a common goal. You Connect the dots across many sub-teams to ensure consistent execution 2. Bring structure to ambiguous problems, using your technical expertise, logic and experience to find solutions. 3. Demonstrate hands on expertise in program management. Plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery. 4. Work across a diverse set of stakeholder organizations, hold internal and external teams accountable, redirect when needed, and manage customer expectations throughout the engagement. 5. Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control. A day in the life As a TPM you will drive programs across functional teams and align stakeholders. You manage feature delivery from end to end. You functionally decompose complex problems into simple and straight-forward solutions. You understand requirements in fine detail which allows you to ensure quality of architecture and design of systems by. You are a team player who effectively integrates, motivates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members (local or remote), sponsors, key stakeholders, executives, and other individuals or organizations involved with or affected by the project. You will manage a program across multiple timezones. At the end of the day, you deliver new Smart Home experiences directly to the end-customer. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Bangalore, KA, IND BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 2+ years of technical product or program management experience - 2+ years of software development experience - 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
