About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Associate...

The candidate will be a Risk Analytics Associatein the CRRA Reporting Execution team. A successful candidate will have a solid background in reporting, understanding and utilizing Relational Databases and Data Warehouses, and be effective in querying and reporting on large and complex data sets. This role will interface with the Data Management, Governance, and Strategy team(s) within CRRA, and includes but is not limited to designing, implementing and maintaining meta data management, data change impact assessments and overall technology infrastructure documentation as required by Governance and Oversight (G&O) and Enterprise data governance policies. This includes producing regulatory reports, performing variance analysis and collaborating with the frontline teams to explain large variances. The candidate should also be able to put together the summary as presentations/visualization which will be circulated to the internal risk committees.


In this role, you will:

  • The candidate is expected to produce Financial Risk Regulatory Reports, Perform Variance Analysis, and collaborate with Frontline teams for commentary
  • The reports to be produced inline with agreed procedures and performing the defined control checks
  • Perform data reconciliation between multiple systems to ensure accuracy of the reports
  • Develop visualization in MS Office Tools/Tableau/Power BI to be circulated internally with the partners and committees
  • User Acceptance and Regression resting on the new changes implemented on the process
  • Document procedures and any changes to be inline with RCSA guidelines


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience SQL, Teradata, and or Hadoop experience is a must
  • 2+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or Power BI applications.
  • 2+ years of experience in risk reporting (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk).
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Tools
  • Experience in data reconciliation and validation
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience researching and resolving data problems and working with technology teams on remediation of data issues
  • Experience, understanding, and knowledge of Enterprise Risk exposures within Wells Fargo including credit risk, market risk, or counterparty risk
  • Regulatory or Risk reporting experience (Basel, BCBS 239, Federal Reserve, G&O high risk reports)
  • Experience working with General Ledger, Basel, Counterparty, Market and Credit Risk data
