Unix/Linux Principle Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview:
Digital Risk is currently looking to fill an exciting Unix/Linus Principle Infrastructure Engineer at our Pune, India location. This job will involve working closely with the other members of the infrastructure and application team. The Unix/Linus Principle Infrastructure Engineer main role is to continuously monitor the application servers to ensure stability and proactively identify any roadblocks which may lead to degradation of service.
Essential Job Functions:
Monitor, triage & troubleshoot, Install, upgrade, maintain and support Linux infrastructure
Maintain and support services/applications under Linux team responsibility
Monitor the Unix/Linux infrastructure and take proactive actions when needed
Contribute to document and review standards and operational procedures
Enforce technical and security standards for Linux infrastructures and services
Follow internal processes at all time (ITIL, change management, time tracking, escalation ...)
Work closely with peers worldwide by taking part in periodic meetings and sharing knowledge
Act as project manager for Unix/Linux infrastructures projects by providing regular follow-up on schedule, budget and issues.
Participate in maintenance, weekend shifts and on duty.
Requirements:
Up to 5 years of relevant experience in Unix/Linux Infra management.
Strong Troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills
Identify and resolve conflicts, contention, rollback requirements, etc. for all Middleware instances.
Strong skills on Linux and Unix commands.
Strong skills on security mechanisms like LDAP and SSL.
Strong Skills in Log Analyzing and sever monitoring.
Experience in Version upgrade, Patching and environment migration.
Incident management, Change management, Problem management, Capacity planning, ITIL frame work.
Drive service improvement programs. Ensure adherence to quality / security standards defined for the engagement Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.
Responsible for Vendor Management and people management. Drives day to day operations and work plan allocation/management. Conduct periodic reviews with teams. Weekly and monthly status reports to higher management.
Experience in or skills providing LAMP stack support.
