Accountability

What it means & why it matters

A. Chief Strategy Officer

Orchestrator of key initiatives (e.g., Growth Plans) and strategic advisor to the GM of Thailand & Vietnam Shapes and steers the subsidiary’s most critical initiatives — defining the Why and What, integrating the How, and conducting the evaluation. Ensures strategy is not just defined but landed and executed with precision.

B. Ambassador of the Subsidiary

Disseminates Corp strategy to the market. Acts as the strategic conduit — landing corporate priorities locally and surfacing local insights back to Corp — so that global strategy is localized, actionable and aligned with market realities.

C. Represent the Country to Area / Region / Corp

Makes local priorities, challenges and successes visible and aligned with broader strategic direction. Surfaces country-specific insights, blockers and innovations so the subsidiary is not just executing, but influencing regional decisions.

D. Localize GTM — Advise & Validate

SE&O consults and advises while CMO/GTM run the programs and events relevant to the subsidiary. Influences the plan, validates execution outcomes, bridges strategy and execution, and enables performance diagnostics to confirm effectiveness.

E. Outside-In Insights

Leads with market insights and navigates marketing resources to meet opportunity. Rebalances the point of view on market share, competition and industry expectation — translating market signals into actionable plans and mobilizing resources so opportunities are resourced and executed, not just identified.

F. Hold the Bar High

Drives excellence in ROBs and holds others accountable for high-quality content, ask and outcome — including coaching the team. Builds a high-performing culture, ensures ROBs are purposeful (driving alignment, surfacing risk, enabling decisions), and exemplifies the leadership tenets.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must bring 10–15 years of experience operating in complex, matrixed environments, ideally with technology industry exposure as a differentiator.

The role requires someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, acts with initiative as a self-starter, communicates fluently in English, and combines strong analytical capability with systems thinking.

Just as importantly, this person must be able to simplify complexity into clear priorities, practical execution plans, and actionable insights for leaders, sellers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
