About this opportunity:
The Group Privacy Office within Group Function (GF) Legal Affairs & Compliance develop and maintain Ericsson’s global Privacy Framework and provides legal advice related to privacy regulations as well as data regulations such as AI Act, Data Act. As Privacy Lawyer you will primarily provide legal advice on privacy and data regulation across Ericsson’s global operations.
We are now seeking a lawyer to cover a 12 month maternity leave in the team. The person will during this year have particular focus on improving our DSAR process, the Personal Data Breach process and be the first contact point for legal support to the privacy advisors in Group Function People.
What you will do:
• As part of the Group Privacy & Data unit within Legal Affairs you will work in a team of legal experts. You will support Privacy Advisors, Legal Counsels, Security Managers, Product and Solution Organization, Government and Industry Relations and other stakeholders by providing privacy & data guidance and advice.
• You will be a subject matter expert on highly complex privacy issues, and translate relevant regulations, and industry privacy standards into practical guidance, advice and metrics that form our Privacy Framework.
• Provide support to stakeholders by developing templates, standards and trainings etc., to establish and maintain awareness on privacy and other related regulations.
• Provide legal advice on privacy, information security and related data matters for cross-functional projects and other units to ensure that the privacy strategy and data management requirements across Ericsson can be adequately implemented.
• Provide, as needed, updates to management teams, security organization, compliance organization and other stakeholders regarding new and updated legal and regulatory requirements in the areas of privacy and regulated data.
• Establish strategic goals as well as measure privacy posture and risks in the parts of the organization you support.
The skills you bring:
• Minimum 6 years working experience as a business lawyer with privacy focus.
• Experience with privacy regulations and regulated data, preferably in the telecom industry with an interest in global privacy and data management programs.
• Good networking ability and social skills including the ability to handle internal and external contacts.
• Fluent in English, second language desirable.
• Independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of working.
• High level of Integrity and strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to independently handle and manage legal matters and prioritize conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Driven team player who initiates and drives change.
Preferred location: Stockholm, or remote within EU timezone.
